I had a chance to visit this beautiful early 20th century structure that currently houses a metal craft workshop/showroom, located 40km away from Dhaka in Dhamrai. The owner and person-in-charge of the workshop is Sukanto Banik, whose family has been doing metal craft since the last five generations over 200 years.
One of the historical landmarks of Dhaka city, Lalbagh Fort is an incomplete 17th Century Mughal structure, whose construction work was started in 1678 by Subahdar Mohammad Azam Shah, son of Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb.
